In 2012 Chandler Arizona turns 100 years old. The city of Chandler will be holding an event on May 17, 2012 to celebrate. Also, other events are in the works. Happy 100 Chandler!
Mark Goudeau, the “Baseline Killer” was found guilty of nine murders on Monday, October 31, 2011. He killed eight women and one man, each with a gun shot to the head. Prosecutors accused the 47 year old Goudeau of attacking 33 people during a 13-month span. The spree started in August 2005 and endedwith his capture in September 2006. Goudeau has yet to be sentenced, lucky for him because the prosecution is seeking the death penalty.
Yesterday, the Phoenix metropolitan area won the bid for the 2015 Super Bowl. The University of Phoenix Stadium in Glendale will host the game. Phoenix last hosted the Super Bowl in 2008 when the Giants upset the Patriots. The NFL commissioner Roger Goodell said, “We are thrilled to be back in Arizona.” The whole Phoenix area should be thrilled to have the Super Bowl back because of not just the game but the economic implications of the whole week leading up to the Super Bowl. Yesterday, a terrible dust storm passed through Arizona. I-10 was completely shut down and their were several accidents, including one near Chandler. The dust storms will not stop until it rains and the soil has enough moisture. Stay safe Chandler and let’s hope it rains.
Today is 10th anniversary of September 11. Have fun watching football and be safe, there was a terror threat earlier in the week. Also, let’s not forget about the people lost on 9/11 and the family’s affected. Let the fireman and other hero’s of 9/11 inspire you to do great things. Have a great day Chandler.

The Arizona Cardinals sign Todd Heap (tight end) from Baltimore. However, it is a homecoming for Todd heap because he grew up in Mesa and played at Arizona State. Heap signed a two year contract with the Cardinals. Also, Heap should be helpful to Kevin Kolb and the new offense.
